Jack Maguire was the Royal Ballet Orchestra's Leader and soloist, and subsequently Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra's leader for Ron Goodwin for more than 15 years. He can be heard on Ron's CD "My Kind of Music" published by Chandos 8797. He is also well known for his performances of Shindlers List and Dance Macabre at BSO fireworks concerts. He has made a BBC recital recording with Peter Donohoe.
He specializes in a revival of Max Jaffa's charm and nostalgia, formerly featured on the BBC Light Programme and now championed by Classic FM.
The Scotsman newspaper once described his playing having "Al fresco virility".
